I got sick last night for the first time in years! You know, the throw-ups kind of sick! Man was that interesting. I had been feeling pretty fortunate thus far with my pregnancy..I've only had a little cold this winter and the normal nausea from my first trimester which I never did throw-up from. But, Monday I had a student get sick and I guess mother nature decided it was my turn to have the pukies! Like you all wanted to know that I had been throwing up...sorry! (I had been asked to update my blog so there is your update:)!!!)
No, I decided to write today because after not being able to find a substitute even though I called oh, let's see... a list of 25 people who like to sub, and after submitting my "illness" to the sub system and still not getting a sub. (You know the reliable system that finds a willing substitute for you, yet ALWAYS seems to FAIL me!! Yep- it did it again!) Luckily I am here in bed!! That is one major reason to not become a teacher. Everyone else has it so easy. You never just call in sick to work as a teacher! You spend hours, alright maybe not hours, sometimes though, but a good amount of time getting the sub plans ready and then you could still be expected to come in to work since you, YOU the teacher can't find someone to sub for you!! It's brutal and most of the time not worth it! But I lucked out..I had been throwing up so they (the school secretary and my principal) weren't going to make me come in!
My cute husband told me not do a thing today, but I can't lie in bed anymore, only because the next door dog won't shut up and they are doing test bombs somewhere that keep shaking the house and scaring me to death! Wow, listen to me! What a morning, which all started at midnight!! Thankfully, I am starting to feel better. I just ate some toast, so we'll see how everything goes.
So here is my baby update:
Baby Drew is doing awesome! I LOVE, absolutely love, feeling him move around! He is so cute and just makes me laugh because of how strange, yet amazing that feeling is! He is measuring big, like 3 weeks ahead big! But what can I say..I'm a "big" girl myself and I'm diabetic...which by the way is doing really well considering that I'm pregnant and the hormones are rampaging through me! I have a great team of doctors and nurses who I speak with every week, twice a week, to make changes with my pump. The OB's are still planning on early delivery if Drew's lungs are okay...so keep us in your prayers. At this point if he is healthy and ready to come, so am I!! I can't wait to have a baby, but I really can't wait to not be pregnant anymore...oh the things I took for granted. We have pretty much finished the nursery..just waiting on furniture! It's really cute and Silas did a great job! (Thanks to Evan for mentoring on the bead-board.) I'll post pictures later when it's all done! (oh, that stupid dog!! I've never despised anything more!!)
Well, I hope to write again soon...I promise I will! I know everyone checks my blog several times a day and is so disappointed when I don't update..yeah, right!! Love to you all, my family and friends!

Well, we can be "pukie" sisters because that is what I did yesterday. No longer does Taco Bell sound appealing.
So thrilled to see an update! Sad that it was to tell us you have the pukies though...NOT fun! (especially while pregnant) I hope you feel better soon!
Despite the yucky flu bug I am so glad to hear that everything is going well with baby Drew. Not too much longer now. We can't wait to meet the little guy!
Hey Missy, I DO check it once a day, so FINALLY you have updated. Good girl. =) Nice to hear that you're not doing so well. J/K. Well minus the throwing up things and the dumb dog, you seem to be great! Good to get the update on Drew as well. You are so lucky you get to deliver early. So is your baby counter right then???
I check EVERYDAY too... finally! I feel so disconnected when no one writes on their blog.
Josef and I were just talking about the flu last night; how that is the worst sickness to have, not to mention, while your pregnant. Ick. I'm sorry.
On the other hand, oh man, I absolutly can't wait for Drew to be here. On the other, other hand he can't come any sooner than 8:00 on the 17th of April. I NEED to be there when he is born, and I would love to at least touch your tummy while he is inside, since I have missed ALL of that. :(
I love you Amos. I can't wait to see you!!!
I actually do check your blog several times a day...okay not several but at least once a day and I am dissapointed when you haven't updated so welcome back! Sorry about your pukies. I HATE that! And I'm really sorry about your neighbor's stupid dog.
I didn't realize you guys had decided on Drew, what a cute name! Glad you didnt' have to go to work sick!
